The L.A. Bankers is a Los Angeles-based music collective founded by two investment bankers centered on original songwriting and music creation/production. Founded in 2021 as a studio-driven collaboration, the collective also expands into live performances on a selective basis, including featuring musicians for specific shows.
The L.A. Bankers (the collaborative and band) was founded by Jeffrey Shippy and John Calcagnini - two professional M&A investment bankers from Century City who previously worked together.

During the day, Jeff is the Founder, CEO & Managing Principal of a modern M&A exit investment bank and growth-to-exit advisory firm serving founder-owned businesses, based in Century City and Palo Alto.

Singer/Songwriter & Guitarist
During the day, John is a Managing Director of Investment Banking at a national middle-market investment bank in Century City, focused on the healthcare sector.
